for the wires it looks like 3dsmax Wire render mode. (maybe this is what Diegio wanted to know).

yes you're right. the top layer is 3dmax wire(shader) render.

Hey jamoka. I'd allocate a bit more UV space for your main cylinder body. This is the largest object of the model and will take up the most screen space and thus need more UV space. Really try and utilize every last pixel of your UV space.
For instance, your pipes (top right corner of UV map) could be scaled/moved/rotated and you would about double your UV space used, giving four times as much texture detail
