I am looking for more info/tips/tutorials on going about getting a realtime look in the Maya viewport. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
guessing things like shaders to use, where to get em, how to use em, etc. Worst case, I will try to pop it into UT3. |

- On the blinn add the diffuse map to the color, normal map to the bump (make sure you change it to tangent space) and the spec map to the specular colour. - In the persp window goto the viewport 'Render' tab and turn on 'Hardware Rendering' OR Try this Maya CGFX shader which is pretty cool. Although I would recommend marmoset & udk. |

Well the deadline is up and we've got some amazing looking entries. Congrats to everyone who participated even if you didn't manage to get yours up in time for the deadline. Feel free to continue working on your pieces and updating your WIP threads.
In case you guys haven't spotted it yet, the Voting Thread is live. Voting will run for one week and the winner will be announced on Sunday the 13th of December. Awesome work guys. |
