Started work on my base mesh, im not good at normal mapping or tileable textures so its a new thing for me.

IIRC if you add more edges to a slope you end up with a stronger normal map.

Yeah the lower parts the your high-res model arent really going to translate to the normal map that well...at least thats what I've noticed for me. The edges are more defined if they are not at a perfect 90 degree angle. You would probably get a better result on the normal map if you pull the tops of those bottom lips down.

Either way nice start Do you have any concepts or anything, I'm interested to see where you're headed.

Sadly i don’t, im not very good at art and have no experience in making tileable textures so im just working my way into it
