Against the wall! - Specifications & Rules

Theme

Games need more than models alone. They also need great textures. Because we had a relative high polycount for our latest competition, we're going for the other extreme with this competition. Your mission is to create a set of 3 tileable textures with a common theme of choise. The textures have to be tileable in one direction minimum, with for each texture one breaker. Every texture must have at least a normal, diffuse and specular map. You are not obliged to use a high poly model for your normal map, but we definitely encourage it, since that will be the only modeling you'll have to do for this competition.

note: A breaker is a texture that will tile in with the normal one but that has something unique about it to break the pattern - a door, pillar, some kind of panelling, pipes, etc... You are allowed to make this texture 512 or 256 pixels wide.

great competition. I'm all in

could be good to apply the texture to more than one quad though to show off the tiling...

I am not sure if I can participate.
My friends from Carpathian Crosses Team will kill me if I start painting texture for competition instead of texturing tanks .

I don't quite understand how you're supposed to model a normal map for a generic seamless texture :/.
