That was fast.

Awesome stuff

Is it possible to rescue some polys from the engine block and give the wheel arch some thickness?

Haha thats great! What James said is the only thing that stuck out to me. Now you just gotta texture it, will you normal map it?

The wheel arch is just a flat plate going form rear to front, same as the real thing. Once textured the thickness wont be that noticeable I think.

And no I wont use normal maps for it most likely. Don't have the time to make them. I'll see how it looks, I might make them in the end just for this competition. Maybe I'll make a high-rez tire ed least. I started unwrapping it, so I'm not going to start re-model stuff

I'll post the UV map as soon as I have it layed out.

After some hours of tedious unwrapping and at the brink of insanity it's finally ready to be textured!

Gonna need to get moving if I wanna make the deadline, so much to do, so little time
(I made the engine a bit higher detailed than needed for the reason that I plan to use it as another prop for Off Limits some day).

UVmap looks impressive
But I think you will run into trouble if you make a AO-map for it?
Correct me if I am wrong

I wont make an AO map for this anyway, diffuse/spec is all I'll go for
