Competition #8 - Almostjakob
I decided to join in on this comp, it would give me a chance to practise car modelling
![]() I'm making a Taxi since i wanted to make a more car car if you know what i mean (you probobly don't xD ) Base mesh (2712 tris) : ![]() First car model ever so yeah, be kind :3 Oh and i would love some ideas and tips ![]() Update: Re-doing some parts on the body, still going to be cab just wanted to add more details to the car it self. ![]() ![]() Last edited by Almostjakob; 02-04-2007 at 02:20 PM. |

You could make it wider... and maybe make more space in the back. For a cab it needs to have room for more people then just the driver
I would also make the thing in the back a little bigger. Look at some refs and see how big it is compared to the car.

I would defo widen it up a bit its looks a little dainty. Another idea would be to, once you have welded together the two 1/2's work on the bonnet a little more to reduce the symmetry in the model. This will make it a whole load more intresting. Good start tho!

I still think it should be wider.
Also, you can do some optimizing: ![]() Red stuff I think you can all pretty safely remove or weld together. If you do all that you could surely spare a 3D engine, but don't forget about the post-Apoc stuff that you should attach to it. |
