Small update on the texturing:
![]() ![]() I was using the bonnet as a test to see whether my rust would work out. Looks ok in my opinion. I'll probably use crazybump to generate a simple normal map at the end.

Overall looks good. The red is better then the blue but it looks a little washed... it lacks contrast i think, or it might be the specular (i see some shiny areas on the model). I don't know much about tires but the patters looks flipped... like it's suppose to go backwards... Does that makes any sense?

You're right about the tire treads... I didn't notice ;P
There is no specular. It is 100% self illuminated at the moment... I painted some basic lighting on to the texture. I should also mention those grills on the front are placeholders.

I definitely underestimated how long it would take me to texture. Also a pity I couldn't get a specular done but I think it looks quite nice 100% self illuminated with the minimal lighting information I painted in to the diffuse. Old school charm I learnt a lot about texturing though which was my original goal. Looking forward to the next comp!
