Competition #8 - fabiodan

Hey!
i've decided to participate in this competition, so i've started working on my modded wheelchair.

My idea is to create a fast veichle which is a modded wheelchair, powered with two washing machine engines and on three wheels. The power is transmitted from the engines to the rear wheels with a band, and the steering will be made by using two bycicle brakes, one for the left wheel and one for the right wheel. Also it will feature a box to put the driver's loot, and a nook made to hold a small pistol, should there be any need of it.
here's my first sketch:

Base mesh is ready, just 1676 triangles. i'm going to pull something out of this, but i'm not sure if a motorized wheelchair is something i should submit instead of a cool, armed-to-its-teeth-super-cool veichle. Care to help me with this dilemma?

EDIT: oops, forgot the renders...

Just what I was about to say. hehe.

If you ask me, drop the wheelchair, it's all about cool lookin' stuff. Make some eyecandy, make something people will see and instantly like, not something they might have to think about to be able to like it. Besides, for me nothing about a wheelchair reads as 'cool'. I see you trying to be original, which is good, but maybe you based you concept off the wrong object. My suggestion would be to definetly com up with a cool design for something .

Good luck!

thanks dude. i decided, the hell with it, and i'm going to make a hovercraft (should i equip it with a mounted machine gun?). i spent a lot of time working on a blueprint, and here it is. i don't want to be too much detailed or geometric when i make blueprints, but its enough for me to use as reference.

update

I've seen that hovercrafts don't simply use a propeller to travel forwards, but they also have two or four propellers to create the air cushion that enables the vehicle to float just a bit above the ground. This will cause me a hassle, but i've finally learnt that i must research BEFORE working...

I'm changing the main structure, but everything else remains the same. I'll post when i'm done.

Finished mesh!

That's it. Now for the texturing! I don't have much experience on it, so it's gonna be a sucky texture job!
That's 3957 triangles, optimized
