Competition #8 - FearOfDreaming
I haven't started my model yet since I've been researching different vehicles. I've narrowed it down to 2 options. The first is a motorcycle with sidecart, similiar to this one:
![]() maybe even making the main motorcycle like this, and than attaching a sidecar with mounted gun: ![]() My second idea is a supply truck along the lines of: There's lots of reference for the truck so that's a plus. However, it might be a bit more difficult to keep under the 4,000 tri limit since there's a lot more geometry required. What does everyone think?? ![]() |

Go for the bike, you'll stand out more with all these cars and planes people are making
![]() Here's an extremely hilarious reference for your motorcycle; ![]() Yes, they built that one out of car components ![]() Edit; Wesley, that miniature and more mad max ref can be found at madmaxmovies.com |

![]() Good choice though. Since you said you've modeled trucks before it might be nice to try something new. I think that a bike will be easier to model anyway and it can look very nice. Good luck with it.

Hmmm, the base is interesting The bars feel very linear. Only changing in one axis. It would be nice to see the frame come tighter together towards in seating area then have it expand out towards the back giving room for a larger wheel.
The side cart seems very boxy, its still an early working base. But it also seems very one axis based. Add more flow to them in multiple angles giving the whole thing more of an fluid shape with features to follow with your eye. EDIT: P.S. Bigger wheels ![]() |

The scale seems very strange at the moment. Huge handle bars, tiny wheels, strangely sized seat, etc.
I'm not sure what program you're using (I'm guessing Maya?) but if it was Max I'd suggest you put a biped in the scene and position him on the seat and then model the bike to fit him. Maybe Maya has a similar feature or you can download a simple human model from the net to position or something. Sometimes it just helps to create a human-sized box so you have something to roughly judge scale against.
