I am using my own application. It is not yet finished, but if you want I can send you beta version for tests. You can export obj from Max, set .5 coordinates, export obj and import it to Max. I have used it to uv map some parts of my car.

Ow right, you mentioned something like that. Wel yes I'd be interested in trying out your application; I'm curious to see how it works compared to Max's unwrapper (which has its flaws).

the 0.5 trick is really neat, never thought bout that.
