I agree. The first one looks A LOT better and there are some parts that can be optimized. Just look at the canisters in the back, you have 3 loops at the bottom when you could use just one there. Only by fixing that you'll save 64tris. I don't know what's going on in the back
Maybe you can save some there too. And you can also delete the faces that are looking down... You'll never see those. The wheels are nice but you could make them without that inside, just a simple cap and when it comes to textures you can add a lot of interesting things there. Another place would be at the bottom the the car, in the middle you have 3 loops that won't make a big difference... you could delete all of them. There are a lot of places where you could save tris, I'd say it's worth it... the model looks great. |

Thank you andrei im thinking of redoing the hole frame, rather than using 5 sided tubing using 3 sided and using a heavy smoothing group on it.
I think i lost my original tubed design i was going for i really want to salvage the model but im not really that happy with allot of it there’s allot of messy poly work and that’s going to make uving very hard, again with the uving its not going to look good due to the amount of piping. Basically what i want to make is something realistic, original and not symmetrical. I love mad max and that’s where im inspired from and im agreeing with you guys it looks more like its from carmaggeddon. Ill think it over tonight do some sketches and look though some old models and see where i want to head, i was really happy with my car mesh its properly one of my best.

If thats 2210 triangles I'd say put some geometry back into the wheels/tires. I liked the spikes. I'd also remove the windshield divider because based on where the drivers seat is, it'd obscure his view.
You also have a really thin loop edge around the sides of the engine which really doesn't need to be there. Good job tho! |
