It's finished
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() As you can see I'm at a perfect 4000 That might change... usually when I unwrap i find unseen faces... If that happens I may add them to round up some parts... Don't know... Maybe it's not that dangerous as everybody was expecting it to be but I like it just like this. I changed my mind a lot while I made this... now I think I want to make it blue... so I might drop that colorful look I as going after earlier. The way I see it this car is used for transportation of goods (food and drinks) for the resistance or something like that. So I don't see it as a monster. I'll do my best to give it the post-apoc look on the texture ![]() Any crits and comments ? Tonight or tomorrow I plan to unwrap it so I'm not looking to make any more changes but if I'm always looking for good suggestions on how to make it cooler. |

looking very good, only minor complaints here.
- loose the license plates, I doubt anybody needs them anymore :P - I'd put the front bumper a bit higher. looks cool this way, but not very practical on bumpy roads - guess you couldn't open the sliding door due to the barred up windows, but that probably doesn't really matter... other than it's looking great, should be awesome if the texture lives up to the model.

Thanks for the crits
![]() I think that the license plates will give it a little more personality... especially if I write something funny there. It's not that they didn't need them... they just don't care about the. That's why they sit like that... waiting to fall... How's going to take the time to remove them ? ![]() I kinda like the bumper... it does make it look cool. I'd rather leave it there wobbling or something like that... even brake it so that one side is really on the ground... like it's going to come off any minute now. There is another problem with the doors... I made them look like sliding doors when in fact they open like this: ![]() I'm thinking I'll make 2 doors just like in the ref and add windows to them... Or maybe keep just one... The only thing that's sure is that I need to make it look like it's not a sliding door. |

great stuff Andrei, should look very nice with a dity scuffed up texture on there.
the modeling is great for 4000 tris, but my only crit so far is with the model alone you wouldnt say it is from a apocalyptic world. I saw a VW van in a film once that had a makeshift sail on the roof to catch the wind as fuel was very hard to find, somthing like that would be cool to make it fit the context more obviously. Cant really crit anything on the modeling side though, very nice

Yes, you are right... the damage is not exaggerated... something like this could easily be found in a 3rd world country but I think I can get away with this. I've been looking at the mad max vehicles and some of them looked in very good condition. Anyway... I can't wait to start the texture so I'll unwrap it today. Keep the crits coming cause in a few hours it will be too late :-P
Here is the latest update... with 2 doors on the side... You can't tell a lot from the wire... I'll have to texture the doors. ![]() |
