Submission Guidelines

Entry Deadline is the End of Wednesday the 2nd of May GMT +-0as time zone. (changed!)

Work in Progress should be posted by yourself in a seperate thread named by using the prefix "Competition #8" and your Username as thread title, i.e. "Competition #8 - requiem2d". This is highly recommended if you may want to receive some advice and feedback before submitting. Please structure it in a fashion that is understandable and post regular updates.

Final Submissions
should be posted by yourself in the thread titled "Competition #8 Post-Apoc Vehicle - Submissions". Please note that to be able to submit, your entry must be a complete piece. Partially complete or incomplete, will be disqualified.

Provide the following in the Submissions thread:
  • Beatuy Render of Final Piece 800x600
  • Link to Wireframe of Final Piece 800x600
  • Links to all texture sheets used (original size)
  • E-mail Address to be used if you are to win any of the prizes
Failure to meet the above or incorrectly post your submission will be brought to your notice a single time, if the issue has not been fixed by the contest deadline, the entry will be eliminated. If you attempt to cheat by either not following the rules above, copying work or using past works you will be disqualified immediately (without notice).

Competition #8 Post-Apoc Vehicle - sethodie

Here is my Post-Apocaliptic vehicle. I have to finish my work today because I am going out of town for few days and will not be able to work on it. Model has been made in Modo (30-day trial version) and then uv mapped in Modo and in my own uv mapping application. Diffuse texture has been painted in Photoshop.

I have added obj file with smoothing groups (Modo doesn't use them).
I am going out of town for a week and want to wish now good luck to all participants.

Post Apocalyptic Push Prop Buggy

Here it is, my push prop driven post apocalyptic buggy! Some parts could have been better, especially in the modeling area, but I am quite satisfied with the overall result.

Total of 3975 Tri's. Modeled and uv mapped in 3DS Max 8, textures in Photoshop.
