Competition #6 - KenTso

Hello Everybody!
This is my first post here.
What I am doing is a halberd for a noble.
It should be a precious weapon.
This is what I have done so far.
I hope I am able to finish it before the competition ends.

The gold looks real nice but it seems a little too glossy. Tone down the specular just a bit. I love the wood too.

It looks like the sharp edge of the blade goes around the top even in the areas that usually are not used to cut. I think this makes it look a little strange and unrealistic. It also feels a little swollen for some reason, maybe the area that should define where the sharp edge starts it's too round. The handle looks very good, work a little more on the blade and you will have a very nice medieval weapon
Can we see the texture? I'm curious how your UVs look like

Thanks for the comments.
I will edit the blade.
This is the diffuse map what I am drawing in Photoshop.I
I am not going to use normal maps so I have to work more on the diffuse map.

If you rotated the head part 90 degrees you could make it bigger, giving it more detail.

The map is not finished yet and there is still something needed to be painted at the bottom of the map.

By the way, I have changed the blade's part as it does not look good.

I think it looked alot better before. All you needed to do was give the back a little less sharpness and more curve.
