Competition #6 - CopticMike
Finally I have decided a concept that I found on Ancient Egyptian weapons Since I'm from Egyptian descent and all, wanted to do something Egyptian, you get the point.
![]() Check out the dagger, its pretty cool and im modeling it right now, but I'm a slow modeler and an extremely slow Texturer! Dont get me started on my skill, but ill try my best. First competition ever, Wish me luck! |

Here is what I would do...
Your weapon stands out through the handle that has a very unique and interesting shape. The blade is round, but it wouldn't be noticeable if you make if pointier and use the triangles from there to give the handle a little more shape. ![]() I would cut the edges that are red, they don't give that much shape in the model. You will notice a change but if it makes the handle look better it's all that matters. The blue ones are if you want to go a little further with it. The ones on the blade will make it more pointier, not a very bad thing and the ones from the handle can be connected since the distance between them is smaller then it's on the top. Hope it helps somehow ![]() |

Andrei, the stuff you advised me worked like a charm and I actually found that I have alot of useless polygons just laying around, so I deleted them and got to develop the shape of the bottom a bit. Thanks Again. Heres a preview of the new and what looks like what might be he final mesh, Any last minute changes I should do.
![]() Im gonna UV map and texture it now, I still have 2 Triangkles left, anything possible to do with them? |
