IamWhack - I know mate. But I think this is the way to go. It'll be a more solid weapon (besides the exploding glass - woot). might make another one. We'll see. I still have 10 tri's left so I could put some kind of thorns of serations along the edge of the blades. Maybe that'd help.

Kitteh - I thought it looked more like stone, heh. There are no normal maps for this. My GFX card died, so this old one I'm running won't support them. The reason it doesn't look all that metallic is because it won't even show the specular map in viewport either. Lend me £100!

Glicerart - Yo! I like the shape of it now. I think it's gone from being a grunt weapon to something that one of the higher General's / Hero's would swing around. Cheers

Mike - I know man. How crap is that? lol I can't even run 2 monitors on this card because I put it too close to my speaker and it won't display green properly. It goes all purple now

Still messing about with the shape. I nearly finished texturing it, then realised that the glass was a crap idea (thanks for telling me! :P) and that I wanted to make it a bit more brutal looking.

So this is it.



It should be easy to just reuse most of the existing texture. I'm also going to try and blindly normal map it, and get someone else to take screens for me.

I will be the screen taker.....oh and the glass was a bad idea......I failed you, I'm sorry!

To make it up to you, I shall take as many screens as you need. I def like this one the best....except I would make them 3 different sizes like the original one. But thats me and I am wierd so what the hoot!

Thought I'd post this before I bail off to bed.

Notes to self:

Still got to finish the handle and bake the Ambient Occlusion back out again (because I'd moved geo around, it went all funky), which is why it's at 100% illum in the viewport.

Need to whip up some normals too, seeing as My Mate Mike's gonna take some screengrabs for me. Wewt.

Also have to finish off the wrought iron shaft, and the handle. I still have some more ideas for the red hot parts of this tri-axe-club thing, so still have a bit of work to do yet. Also need to get some kind of glyphage on there somewhere. It IS magical, after all.

Notes to everyone else:

Tri count = 249 (what the crap can I do with the last tri? )



It's still pretty WIP at the moment. but any crits would be appreciated.

Nice G, even better then what you showed me before. The only thing right now that I would say to add is a brighter...grey for the blade, so it looks used. It would help to define the blade alot more. And last but not least viens...dont forget bro

Messing about with handle grip. Glyph's added. Still need tweaking.




Blade spikes need sorting. Need to add more detail to the glow, and add other glowing bits.

Lookin' good! The only thing I don't really like is that the mace is too coloured, maybe a bit more metal'ish and less red/orange and it's good

Pankake ftw! Yeah. It's a magically chargted weapon (check the glyphs and the glowing). If I were really into it, I'd prolly say it'd have +15 fire damage, or something.

I think the thing that's confusing the whole glowing / red hot thing is the teeth I added to the edge to the blade. They aren't glowing correctly because I haven't gotten to that bit yet.

But yeah. Magically red hot and glowing
