Competition #6 - OrganizedChaos

I'd like to give this a shot. I'll probably be doing a Trebuchet since I accidentially pronounced it as "tre-bucket" until recently.

A "tre-bucket" would be cool though... I can picture it now, it works similiar to a trebuchet but instead of just one firing arm there are three and they are loaded with 10 gal. paint buckets filled with boiling oil which is then set on fire.

I thought of making one myself at first, yet since I'm not an expert once it comes to textures, I don't think It would end up that nicely. I'm curious about how well you'll pull it off. I'll stay tuned

Man, that poly limit really does get to you. I took a shot at it and made this with 250 tris. It needs readjusting but I'm not sure if I'm going to keep this concept/ I've been thinking about what micster said and it seems like a really good idea.

On another note- I asked this already but, would deleting the polys on the bottom (where it touches the groud) be a problem? If not then I could probably amp this up quite a bit.
Also- I'm assuming transparency is allowed?

I've edited your pic to show verts you can remove (they're redundant) These will save you a few tris.

Or you could just make each part of the frame one box, and not connect any of it, which will save you even more tris.

Thanks for the ideas Kitteh! You saved me on this one. I went ahead and did a strange mixture of both and changed my concept bringing me to this - with 250 tris.
