Project Update!
I haven't had a chance to work on anything for the comp in awhile now. Largely in part due to school, but no biggie.
I worked most of last night attempting to get normals to render our properly and more or less succeeded, I believe. Also managed to whip up a diffuse and spec map for my crate; hopefully I'll have time to mess around with glow maps and finish polishing the other maps. The normal really needs some extra love, so we'll see what we can do about that later! Well, apparently, I missed the deadline for the competition.
I'm kind of in a sour mood as I assumed the comp was open until Sunday night; (taken from rules page: End of Sunday the 21st of January) it seems the curtain has fallen earlier than expected. Oh well, I'm not a sore loser, but I'll post where I'm at now. Requiem2d, could you please clarify what happened as I may have misinterpreted the rules. I'd really appreciate it as I worked rather diligently on this and hate to see it not entered. I hope I'm not coming off like a crybaby, but just figured I'd throw that out there Almost overhauled color scheme completely over the course of the last few days, added in grime, dirt, dings, more refined scratches, etc. Also packed in more detail into my normal and pushed out a spec. Although, I'm not too happy with the spec. Have a look if you're interested.
