Blackjack
First proper attempt at a texture. The model is 196 tris and has a diffuse, normal map, and specular map. It doesn't look much compared to some of yours so if you have any crits or tips I'd like to hear them. I have removed the rust since that render.

Hi, Texture looks bland, it needs more definition, ie. rust looks like coffe splat and gun sign does not look to good too. Scrathes on edges of crate are too fat and, if you think more about it - You'll find out that they wouldn't look so in real, they need to be more random, keep away from straight lines along UVs. Get some more detail on crate "locks" and maybye some rust around it. You can also think about making paint sticking out of the crate surface near rust.
You can do better with specular map also I think. Best Regards, keep it going. |
