Let's start!

First, I don't pretend win this competition, because I made this for fun and for practice. I'm totally a noob, but I accept enter here because I think that the model isn't difficult for people like me. I'm sure that the rest is going to make better models than mine. Good luck everybody!

Triangles: 108
Polys: 108
Texture: 512x512 and Normal map via Photoshop.

First entry Cool!
Just because you think the others will have better entries it doesn't mean that you shouldn't do your best. Here is a little crit: Since the crate is made out of wood you should have the parts from the edges horizontal, not vertical. Nobody will cut the wood like that to make a crate.

Also, can we see the texture and a wire ?

Hi Glicer,

Remember the items need to be created, not taken out of your already existing pieces So it's a good chance to go at it again.

Cheers

No problem. Just a dude. I see in the pictures normal crates but, for example, could I create a futuristic type of box?

By all means, as long as it's a crate

Ok, so let's go again. Simple design. Just 100 triangles. Now, I'm going to learn how make Normalmaps .

EDIT: Mudbox. It's an experiment.

So please, correct me if I'm wrong.

yes... i know this tutorial...

i allready created some normalmaps...
you need 1x high res object and 1x low res object with uv maps... and than you can create the different types of normalmaps but i always thought that it need to be one object for low and high
