Looks like two different animals?your concepts look like a dog head but your ref pic is like a eagles/bird head

there both parts of egyptian... lore i guess. the two protectors of the afterlife if i recall anubis, the jackal.
and the other one... i think hes osiris. but its been a long time since i was into that stuff

Be careful not to use up all yorur polygons on arms, and time on posing / making them look good.

i was just using the stargate guard as a reference to go by, i wasnt trying to recreate him, i wanted to design something. I was happy with it.
