Talon
ASMD Shock Rifle, baby
![]() I guess mine is more of a railgun... thing. My progress so far tonight before I get to bed (~1hr modeling and experimenting). ![]() Inspiration taken from the Combine Pulse Rifle (pretty strong asymmetry and a very "open" design) and the Tribes Vengeance sniper rifle. |

Great design you've got there! Keep it up.
I think the six cyclinders on the right side of the gun could be shown a little more in first person view, otherwise you're waisting poly's there. Other than that, it looks promising. ![]() Whats the current polycount?

Cheers dudes
![]() Alchemist101: Ta Yeah, it's probably a little flimsy UT-wise. I'll probably add some things onto it to make it look more heavy duty without really bulking the model out too much more. I'll hopefully be able to normal map some solid looking panels and rivets, etc, to help give it the illusion of being more resiliant/industrial, too.Reeke: Cheers, bud. I kinda thought it up from the FPS view alone. So I'm running into trouble now with reguards to the workings of the gun itself XD zortech: Thanks, man. It's 2250 tris for the full thing at the moment, so I reckon it's at a little over 1000 visible tris. I've removed the 3 capacitors (the 3 small cylinders at the close-up right hand side), decided they were too wasteful and a bit stupid, really. chris: I've not seen the shock rifle of UT2k7 yet. I'll have a peek Yeah, I'm not sure about the canisters of coolant (the 3 big ones that fan out of the side). I really like them there, but you're right, they don't look so hot in the FPS view. I'll fiddle around with them and see what I can come up with ![]() Dev: Ta, mate ![]() |
