I'm loving the 1st person view on this one, and knowing your texturework, i'm sure it will come out to be one hot looking potato

Some more progress. Want to start to consider it approaching final now. Itching to get at the texturing

The primary fire is that the small nozzle positioned just behind the suspended ball of plasma will somehow (with Unreal magic!) knock a small portion of the plasma out of the ball and accelerated between the rails to leave the end at great speed.

The secondary fire, the entire ball of plasma will be launched. Those large panels on the bigger of the two shapes will flip open to vent coolant around the rails afterwards. The ball holders will quickly accrue another ball of plasma in the suspension chamber.

Very quick update before bed.

Tweaked the canisters upwards so that they show more.

Added a barrel ending to make the gun feel a bit more solid and belonging to one cohesive (albeit open) piece.

nice improvements Talon. It looks like it has much more weight and bulk to it now. You going to Normal map this?

looks awesome. One thing though is the pipes/tubes goin on where you have the opacity stuff. It makes it looks super messy and hard to read. I digged it the way you had it before with three clean "fires" (or whatver its called).

Like I keep telling you in MSN, this is some brilliant work Talon. Certainly my favourite that I've seen so far. Gonna have to second the comment about the messy area though, it's difficult to see what's going on there. Can't wait to see how this comes out when textured!

Armanguy: Yeah, yeah, I'm slaving away on HB, too

st3ady: Cheers, man.

Alchemist101: Thanks. I'll probably have a normal map on it, yeah. Not sure I'll make a full high res version, though. Probably a mix of merging small bits of normal maps and some nVidia plugin.

motives/wokky: Ta, dudes. That bit does look a little messy at the moment, I think it's mostly modo's rendering of it in the viewport. When I get some proper textures on it hopefully it'll look more obvious as to what's what. At current there's a central "ball" and then a mobious strip of polys weaving it's way around the outside of that. Along with the 3 "holders" that come out of the gun itself.

Dev: Thanks, mate
