It's pretty difficult (imo) to concept something purely original that doesnt have a faint whiff of a pre-existing concept when it comes to these kind of guns, they all end up as a variant of the same design. That said, the only railgun I liked was in Q3 :P Depleted Uranium Slugs fired at hyper velocity ... I'll have 2 to go please.

I won't crit too hard on the concept as it's in early stages
,I think it's leaning more towards Quake (prior to 4 which is pretty much a Doom3 re-skin), Quake has always had more of a shiny, yet dark, gothic style with a good splash of gold, as apposed to Unreal's grungy, techno cyber-punky style, but I'm yet to see more progress of this, and by the way, your concept skills are good . |
