Competition FAQ
What are the competitions about?
This is a friendly competition where you are assigned exact specifications and a theme to follow. You are judged on a variety of items ranging from the model, to texture, to final presentation. The goal of the competition is on one hand to compete against others but also to develop yourself as an artist. Why should I participate? The specifications are low enough that people from any skill-level can take part, not to mention, also have the time to actually produce a final product. Whilst other sites boast 5000 to 50'000 tri competitions, we will always make our low poly competition accessible to people with day jobs or limited time. For those who wish to push it further and have the time to do so, we will bring in a higher poly competition down the line (with more time assigned respectively). In addition, no single skill will be able to win it all without bringing other skills to the table. In other words, the competition, although not consuming much of your time, will push you in all aspects of creating a product; concept, modeling, texturing, presentation. You would have been able to learn something as well as add to your portfolio. Are there any prizes? Not yet, but, we are planning to incorporate these once the competitions gain enough momentum that sponsors are willing to contribute. So by all means, refer the competition or the site as whole to any of your friends involved in game art! If you are part of a company which produces products related to game art and are willing to sponsor a sinlge or multiple items for any our competitions, please get in touch with myself. What are the criteria and how are winners decided? Your end product will be judged through this structure:
