KING, that's looking awesome and no prob, just happy to help.

Can we see your texture with an overlay of your UV's? Looks like you could have made better use of your UV space, can't tell without seeing the overlay though. Like seeing how you went from concept to 3d with this. Really liking it.

Nice! It's really got that Zelda-like feel to it.

Really like this one a lot, great concept and its fun.
512 texture for the whole thing is tough!

Heres a couple suggestions how you could make more use of your tex space:

Just a rough mock up, basically the columns with the star type emblems are very similar so you could just use one. The main slab is relatively large in the scene and would possibly benefit having greater texture density. The top of the slab isnt seen too much by the player/viewer? So just try using some of waste concrete at the right of the texture.

This idea might not work for you, but where I've had in the past to make a large circular type texture feature (rug in a room!) i cut into quarters. This depends on the model having suitable quartering too but you get the idea. The only problem is the path!

Anyway. looking good!

Dengan, BadgerPirate and BritBrit: thanks guys for the boost, i still have 67 tri's and I want to add something cool to the scene... yeah... nothing goes to waste... l... you guys are great.

showNOmercy: now here is my savior...... i will sure do... just as soon as I get home... plus i will try to do what ploon said... sounds good to me... thank you again man.

ploon: now that’s sounds great... specially that concrete idea... sooo great... maybe then, I can stack the rest of the textures to enlarge and maintain the ground textures... I will see if I can keep the path on the ground... otherwise I will have to get rid of it... but man these are great tips from you... I did not think of that at all... Actually I did the whole thing quickly and did not think it over... thank you again.

I will update soon as i get home.

thanks to all.

King - hey great, glad it was of some help. The thing is that the way you have done it it looks cool anyway.
But if you want to squeeze some more quality out of the tiny space available then it might be the way to go.
It would be a shame to lose the path. But how about a circular pattern of stones on the floor instead?
dunno, just thinking off the top of my head

I totally went for your advice ploon... I squeezed the texture just like what you said and got rid of the path... I tried to keep it... but when I tried your idea ...I liked the look.

See:

I got rid of allot actually...
also i sharpened the sheet to get a sharp screen grab... it was a bit blury grab.

now I just saw your idea about the stones... and I think its great... but the think is that I will be going on a five days holiday… and I think I will not be able to continue updating...that’s why I was rushing in this... so I decided to post something.... anything as long as I got this far... you know... nothing goes to waste... but I really thank all of you for the support I got from you guys... it was sooooooooo fun.

Now these are some screen grabs I will take one of them and post my last result after a while:

This is the texture with an overlay of some of the UV's... now the walls uv's are different depends on the shape... I think you got the idea.

Now this is my first textured thing... and it was an experience dipped in a great amount of fun, an undisputed quantity of learning and a recognizable activity of a group of helpful unique individuals.

Again thank you all.

Hey King - well done! Really good entry you've produced, it really evokes a fun game. Its got that kind of Treasure feel, a bit off the wall.
Half the fun is squeezing as much as possible out of your textures and you've done a grand job mate. For a first attempt at texturing this is great.

The little dudes flying about make me smile

Have a great holiday

Yes that looks very nice indeed! I only have 1 comment, and thats the difference in quality of the boss texture and the environment texture. I know you only have a 512 texture you can use, but the wall textures look very blurred because of the low res texture. Cant you just mirror the texture there? So the wall gets twice as sharp?

Also, the grass texture uses a lot of space on your uvw. I think it's using too much space, in contrast with the rest of the picture.

But like I said, Nice job so far! I realy like the theme of this one. Different then all the other entry's in style, whitch is a good thing IMO
