Decided to get in on this.

Here's my concept:

PEW PEW PEEEEEW


It'll be some kinda' red/dusty/sandy planet, and I'll have a pool of lava behind the beast from whence it came.

Working on the head of the rock monster:



It's a little high poly at the mo' I'll be cutting it once I get the forms down.

I just noticed that his bottom jaw looks like a urinal . Need to chunkify it, too thin and neat for rock.

This looks fun. I didnt see urinal as much as dark ride entrance. I love those.

Maybe, maybe not. Might change to fighting game or 3D platformer Ala Ratchet and Clank or what have you, undecided, but the only thing that will change for that is the way in which the environment is arranged and the camera angle .
Few things for certain though, there will be a space backdrop, a rocky miniature planet (think Spore, can see the curvature of the world) and 2D meteors flying around, oh and lots of red and lava/flames behind our big fellow here.
