I worked some on the mesh. Ill probably add some more stuff to it though, but the tri count maybe tells me not to. We'll see.

Tri count: 1058

he's holding a butterfly of JUSTICE!!!.......which spews out rainbowy goodness

errr..

just a thing with golem backstory - i assume you know al the dealio about golems having a 'chem' - a piece of inscription/or paper stuff that gives him/her/it 'life' so as a baddy, his would say "kick ass and chew gum..."

you could probably save on more polys/tris and make one hand a closed mitten - as only one hand will be holding the HAMMER of DEATH! implement....

achmedthesnake: Hey, thanks man! I threw the golem thingy in the trash, and no, I didnt know about the inscription thingy. But he will probably get a big ass hammer later on. And about the extra little finger is there because he will probably point or something in the scene.

Okay, so I did some texturing. Turned out pretty good actually.

Also, the tri count is now 1012.

hey guy,

your model/concept is cool. The texture is commiing along, but I don't like the blue color. Think it should be darker, less saturated. His head kinda looks like Darth Vader without his helmet . Also I'd work a little more from the side view, looks kinda flat from that angle. And give him 2 Hammers!!! Double the pleasure! GL.

BloodRobot: Thanks man. Yeah. the blue color had to go, atleast some of it. The lightest blue represent specular. I need the shinyness cause we cant use spec map which I really want He wont look that flat when Ive rigged him and posed him.

So I worked some more. The coat isnt done as you probably can see. Im gonna make it torn with an alpha on the bottom of it and he will have some flesh wounds and stuff like that.

If you got any good idea about the color of the coat, feel free to tell me what you think

nice start there, like the concept. Especially the gas tank on his back. I hope you're still going to add that to the model?

As for the texture, the face looks ace imo, but the metal looks a bit off. The highlights look a bit to dominant imo. Also, i'd disable the bitmap filtering when you render. It all looks very blury right now, you can probably get that fixed easily...

but a nice start

Keep it up

Wow. I'm surprised in a good way, dude - the thing about showing line drawings for concepts is that the viewer has no idea of how you're going to treat it, stylistically.

Very strong start
