Competition #15 - Insulaner

Wanted to hold it back as long as I could, because I tend to loose interest when I post WIPs too soon, but I think there's not enough time left to loose interest.

Still a lot to polish.

I hope I'm gonna make it till midnight.

Light is major WIP I like the mood, but the shadows are way too hard.

looking interesting, lighting will help a lot!
your bookcase looks very mirrored, perhaps you could move some of the book about to break that up.

The bookshelf was mirrored, but don't worry it's already aranged differently, so only one shelf is left..

You have the content, now you need to order it correctly indeed. Also check your scaling, the chairs compared to the doors are huge, the parquet floor is also huge and could use some scaling down (will also make it less low rez). the book cases are also huge and very high (which is possible sure) but it looks odd. And like Addi said, the mirroring look too apparent. Also the body on the floor looks very thin (unless he was killed with acid ).

Fixed a few things you guys mentioned and arranged the whole room differently..
I think it's a bit of an improvement.

/e: Oh yeah, and I painfully added some shadows.

Well, just to make sure there's not misunderstanding, I didn't mean to steal your idea.
Unfortunately I had pretty much the same idea, but I hope our general setting differs enough for people to believe that it was a coincidence.

Sorry though..
