Hey,

It's a bit a last time effort, but who cares xD.
I had it in mind of making a little bug army for a while, but never got the motivation to actually start on it. But this competition kinda solved that problem .
Even if I don't finish the piece in time, i'll finish it no doubt.

But to my Idea. An Ant Warrior. Duuuh, no flying anoing bugs. I mean, an ant can carry almost 20 times it's own weight. The perfect strenght for an exellent warrior! Infantry move out!!!

I was kinda fantasing about his weapons and came to a lot of options. For example, he could be a ranged fighter, trowing rocks or seeds and stuff. But I wanted to make a meelee warrior. So I came to the idea of a leaf shield and I made 2 weapons. Still have to decide witch one to use for the competition. I guess in the end I'll finish both. But right now I have a thorn Club, and a Thorn Sword. I think I'll go with the sword, but I'll see.

But here are the renders.
As reference I used the Weaver Ant, and as reference for the weapons I used several thorn images. The body of the Ant is stil verryy WIP, I started making the weapons.




The Sword is 106 tris, the club is 105tris, and the shield 76 tri's. All the objects are in total about 500 tris including the ant.

I don't know what style I'll go for, weither it be cartoony, or realistic. At the moment, the models allow both styles. But i'll see how it goes.
