J, its only 1:20, get out of bed and spend more time on your diffuse, it doesnt look anything like your concept

And Ahopps, I posted that at 3:30, you must be in west coast. :P I am disappointed in what ended up coming out and wish I was going to have this weekend to do more with this. Especially the cracks in the carapace that had the fire underneath. I made a couple of attempts in doing this on my diffuse, but all looked extremely hokey and so I stopped and just got all of my base down before I spent to much time delving into that level of detail. I just may go ahead and polish this off sometime in the near future, outside of this competition just for my own personal satisfaction. I'll get home on Sunday in time for me to possibly do a better final render, so this isnt exactly the final image. what i think you should do to make up for this is actually use the concept you posted up and make that character even if you dont want to because when it comes to the game industry they'll be making you do alot of things you dont feel like doing its good practice.
