should be pretty cool i like the general idea, but whos going to be firing the rifle? if its the dragonfly than the scope seems a little pointless. the sniper just doesn't seem to be really integrated into the dragonfly's body if that makes any sense, good concept though, i'm excited to see how it turns out

Thanks for the feedback, yeah its supposed be kind of comical, the scope is there just to reinforce the idea that it is a sniper rifle. I guess you could say the scope is actually part of the creature, maybe I will put an eye on it to reinforce the idea.
Here is my low poly model, it is exactly 1000 tris. ![]() and a wire ![]() |

the head seems a little expensive, you could maybe use some of the tris you used on the head to make some more equipment for him or something. the wireframe's a little hard to read, could you maybe make one with the wireframe over the solid model?

Cool concept and model so far, maybe you could finagle enough tri's to give this dragon fly a heads up display of sorts that's connected to the scope. Something like a monocular head mounted display system. Would be cool to see a pack with a wire connecting the scope to the display.
Looks like you could get most of the tris from the barrel of the riffle. Seems like you have wasted polys there that a normal map could handle. Just an idea. Last edited by showNOmercy; 07-07-2008 at 03:48 PM. |

Hey everybody, its been awhile because I was out of town for the past 4 days so here is an update. I have the low poly unwrapped and started the sculpt on the high poly. Thanks for the idea showNOmercy I added a monocular to his eye. Here is a shot of the sculpt so far.
