Ok I re-rendered on a different bit of sand, I think The seam in the sand is what you meant.

And tried the sharpen filter

my apologies Tiros.
I think we may have crossed posts as I fixed and posted the new pic before I saw your last post.

I am using iClone. I have only learnt enough 3d max so far to make figures and export them to iclone. the spider was my second animal.
I am using corel photopaint for textures, I did purchase Photoshop cs2 but havent got too far learning it, as I have been concentrating on Max.

I did a short course at CGsociety on low poly modeling which was very good.

silly as it sounds but
I dont know how to set up cameras and lights in max.(yet)
or how to bake AO maps or normal maps.

I started the vray tutorial in max (with the hope of managing to render the spiders) but it didnt render properly and I think it may be a prob with my graphics card. I am working on a dell laptop at the moment (and its all Ive got for a few more months)

I am enjoying Lowpoly modeling.
You will see me around the forums as I am keen to learn.

ps thanks for the help with blending tool, I tried with the clone tool but managed to duplicate a bit of leg!

One last pic, this is the size that the spiders would most likely be seen as. All the dramas with the legs is not that much of a problem at this distance.
