Update on the attack ship
![]() I don’t like some thing about the guns on the ends of the legs. Maybe they are too large for such thin legs. Or too geometric looking in comparison to rest of the ship which has a more organic form to it. Addition feedback would be appreciated.

The guns in my opinion stick out from the arm too far. try fitting it against the whole "forearm" instead of just the end and have it protrude less? Or you could always make the guns a bit more organic looking if you don't want to mess with the size? Just some ideas for what I would do
but I really like it, the concept is pretty original in my opinion ![]() |

David,
Your work looks great. I'm doing a bit of an organic (at least inspired) set of ships myself. I wanted to suggest that you work and define the relationship between these two ships a little better. I see that the smaller ship has mechanical arms, but they appear to be of a different style. I did notice the central structure coming from the base of the main ship seemed similar to the very end of the smaller ship. I had to intentionally look for it though, as I understood that the relation is a requirement for the contest. You would probably want to make it sort of slap you upside the head and say, "Yes, well I know where that ship came from." After typing all of this, I do think that the red lights on the two ships will help quite a bit to link them, but I would personally make a point to make sure the two ships are obviously aesthetically related. Keep up the good work! |

Thanks for the feedback. I revised the top section in concept of the mother ship.

Well I didn’t make the contest deadline, but I figured I should post my progress so far anyways. I am still going to finish it. The organic section at the top dose not look rite to me.

i think the reason why the organic part doesn't look right is that it seems to me that it is uniformly smooth around the entire thing. i think maybe a few bulging veins or lumps here and there might help out quite a bit. it might also looks kind of neat for where the metal braces are to have them kind of pulled in and have the organic part squishing out away from them, if that makes sense.
