Competition #13 - in3d

Hello everybody
This is my first time entering some serious competition, so i will try my best
The entry will be about not an army ship, but a civilian research station (Though there probably will be some defense stuff on it).
The main concept was done by friend, coo worker and awesome artist Henrik Bolle (http://www.killingpencils.com).
So far i finished the main blockout, i will be doing this model in hi-poly, so this means everywhere will be normal maps The ship is symmetrical, so this will save some uvw space Everything you see is still wip, there will be added a lot more details when i will be modeling the hi-poly version of it. I'm using 3dmax and polymodeling if anybody interested in this. Well that's pretty much all for now, good luck to everyone.

Very nice! Awesome concept and the model is keeping the same quality already!

I really like the fact that you've decided to go with a non military style ship, something different is good So this right here is the HP right? Can't wait to see the finished version of the HP!

Thanks Well actually it was the concept artist idea of making civilian ship and not an army. I wanted some army or fast going ship lol. But the concept turned awesome, so i started on building it

Haha either way it should turn out to be a really sweet unique ship. You could always make some sort of army escort to go with it, then you both get what you want

God damn that's sweet. Could obviously do with little bit more detail on the smooth shell external of the ship, but I guess such intracies are on their way...

i was waiting for your entry ilya, i saw henrik's concept at the studio. Everybody is going to cry now haha because your entry looks amazing so far! great job.
Also kudos to henrik for the great concept.

Same here, i saw the concept at the studio, and it's really nice, probably the best one out of the entire comp - of course, being from Henrik, it's no surprise It reminds me a lot of a mix between Star Trek and Mass Effect.
