Competition #13 - ID Conceptart
Hi there,
When I first saw this competition I realy wanted to join so here's something that I made. The idea came from a cloud that I saw and I directly started painting the cloud in PS and that was the basic concept for this mothership. Hope you all like it, C&C please ![]() ![]() |

Hi ID Conceptart, welcome to GA and the competition!
Are you going for an "alien organic" look? Like, a living ship? If so, i think those turrets don't really fit the concept. Plus, i think the ship is too thin, fatten it up a bit so it looks more powerful. Definitely keep the "control tower" thing, as it adds variation to the silhouette, and keeps the design interesting. If those 2 rear boxes are engines, it doesnt make much sense that one's exhaust is right by the other, it would blow up lol Check out some textures, photographs, to see what kind of alien organic look you want for the texture, that would influence the shape and silhouette, i think.

Hi Masakari!
Thank you for the warm greeting and quick respond! I want to give the ship a powerfull, alien, ghostship look. Realy want to aim for the ghostship look. And yes the boxes where supposed to be the engines, but indeed one will blow up the other so I have to find a solution for that. I have to admit that I find designing spaceships extremely difficult, but he where here to learn right? ![]() I'll update this soon |
