Competition #13 - Addi

I decided to try,

my concept is as follows...

Medical Space Station


(ok the drawing doesnt reveal much)

The central sphere is like those found in unreal3, or the film event horizon (hexagon plates across its surface). The sphere is surrounded by docking rings with docking bays/landing areas around them. The main hubs between the landing bays are like ER rooms for immediate surgery.

My secondary craft is going to be an Ambulance (obviously! hehe).

Gave up drawing and decided to model instead...

That looks much better in 3d than on paper Would be cool if you worked those triangles into the texture.

Keep going looks like this could be pretty interesting

Definitly different, which will make it stand out more and thereby have a better chance of getting noticed - which is good I believe.

Thanks people, I've pushed on with the mother ship, unwrapped it and began texturing. However, I'm not very good at this old texturing lark never got the hang of it, so prepare to be disappointed!

Also, I have a question regarding the textures. I know in some other forums comp's you can split up the max texture sizes as you see fit, so I'm thinking of:-

Mothership 1024x1024,
Ambulance 256x256,
Central orb with a tilable 256x256

I know its kinda open, with how we want to split between 2 models for 2 sheets, but if I'm still under the max limit, can I have 3 sheets?
