by the way, that's 457 triangles.

I like the overal shapes.
Do you intend to keep those sharp edges next to the fan area?
or will you spend a little bit more tri's on that to smooth it out?

I'll be chamfering them if i need to. that is, if they seem to sharp in the end.

A little more work on the mesh, my schedule's pretty tight so I can't make it any faster!

Now, about 1500 triangles, but highly "optimiseable".

Hi mate Looks pretty damn good to me, only 1 thing.. The front is too thin, I don't think a pilot would fit in that
Love the engines, I really do.

I also like how it is shaping up but the oval engine shouldn't use so many polies and the cockpit should look like any other cockpit , like i've told you on msn , theres still alot to work on , but its shaping up heh.

Update: Fixed fighter mesh, lots of tweaks into smoothing and polishing. Will work more on it later. Now i'm preparing the mothership.

Lookin good guys

I know its just a mockup for the mothership, but the sphere on the mothership and the fighter could be optimized alot. Possibly not for the mothership though as the extra tris will help define the scale. At the least I would cut one or two loops out of the fighters sphere and use them to round off the lower section of the front.

One other thing I saw, is remember to watch out for ngons

Eitherway its comign along nicely! Keep at it!

thanks for the hints. Yet, both ships are really, really small in terms of triangles right now. I optimize most of my meshes at the same time I model them. The mothership, in spite of the sphere, right now is under 1k tris.
