Competition #11 - Putz
Ok here is my idea so far. I always hate how the airfields look in rts games so I've decided to make my own. So far I have a hanger, radar tower and control building and I plan on adding more. I still have about 600 polys to work with so I have quite a few options left. Texturing is going to suck though because I have no idea how to map UVs. Anybody have some pointers?

Maybe use the last 600 triangles to build some kind of runway?
Also you could check out the texturing section of the glock tutorials about the unwrapping. I think the first two vids are unwrapping. Also retardedmonkey did an awsome unwrapping tut as well, he uses some crazy max plugin and I can't remeber the name of it. |

Update
Okay, here's the update. Poly count is 1491 now so I'm probably done as far as content goes. It can still be refined a little bit more (there are still edges to be deleted on the hanger and a couple other things) but I'm happy with it. I added a runway, a radio antenna, a windsock and a couple random barrels to round out the area a bit.
