Competition #11 - Meltdown
I was inspired by a 10th century orthodox church. It was totally made of wood, so will be my model.
I'll do the high poly model asap, where i'll add details, door and windows. The purpose of that RTS building is to boost morale or give some divine intervention skills. "The Church of the Apostolic Faith" ![]() 1497 tris |

Hello!
I think this is a great start on the model, is this russain? Anyway i think you could save a few polys on the round pieces below the cross, just make it less round. Also the smaller cross seems to be more detailed than the large cross, id swap them over if i was you. Anyway nice work, can i see a wireframe?

I like it. The roof needs more work, I think. I'm not sure you how you UVed it but right now there's not a ton of detail or interest or anything, and that's one of the biggest things people will see, especially in an RTS. It could use broken shingles, more color variation, wear and tear and highlights and stuff, some splatters (either of actual stuff or just very faint detail splatters to give it more visual complexity), stuff like that. The "bulbs" or whatever also look kind of plain; you could incorporate some of the gold from the cross in stripes or something. I like the main body and the base, though, and the cross is very nice.
