Competition #11 - cgAlpi

Hi all,

I am Alpi, amateur cg artist from Czech Republic. I'am new to game-artist.net. I enter this competition because competitions like this is big challenge for me and I want to teach a lot of new techniques about game art and art in itself. I desided to make a low-poly Necropolis building for this comeptition. The concept you can see was made by my kith Robert Jones, he is artist in all ways! I started doing this few hours ago and I've done the model of necropolis. It will be a lot of work on textures. In the meanwhile I hope you enjoy this pieces.

Interesting. Looking at the concept reminds me of the Necrons from GW.

Doofi, I use one sky light near by necropolis for the presentation. It was rendered in default scanline renderer with light-tracer on..

yoyomon, I looked at necrons from gw and I have to agree with you about Robert's influences by gw in this concept.

Looking at your concept the arch pillars seem to be all smooth. Did you intentionally make them have different smoothing groups on the actual model?

I like the concept and the model is also looking cool.
