Competition #11 - Murloc

Enough with the blargh's.
Here is some work in progress.

Not done the stairs yet.
Tri-count is right now at 382.
I'll see if I get some left to do some other details, or if it will be used at the stairs..

Anyway, it's an Aztec Temple that could be used in a more history-like RTS, like Age of Empires ect.

Looks good, you could probobly spend some of the remaining tris after you made the stairs, to add extra detail to the roof, such as statues etc, something like this;

Oh, and just thought of one ore thing, you could also add floating planes on which you'll place aplha-mapped vines and other kinds of plants.

Thus far however, no crits. Keep up the good work

Thanks.
I'll see if I'm going to add some statues. I've made a hatch on the roof, and a "fireplace" or whatever to call it.

About the vines, I'm thinking about adding some in the textures on the walls.
And the building-stones will be alittle grey/green'ish. Alittle mossy and so.

Got another picture, made the stairs now. Not very much left to do now.

Will begin with texturing as soon as I get my write tablet.

With the right texture this can look pretty cool. If you have some tris left i would use them on vegetation. The structure itself looks very repeating and symetric, i would try to break that with something.

Defeat: Thanks =) Well, I was thinking about making some futuristic building at first, but I just had to stick with this. Hehe. Good luck with the WW2 building.

cgAlpi: Thank you. This is in fact the second model I've ever made. Hope I get better on it soon. Hehe.

doylle: That's what I am thinking about too. I made the fireplace and hatch on the roof so it would stick out some. (and ofcourse the aztec's needs something to "bring light" to their rituals.) If I get some left-over tri's I'll plant some trees and bushes at the bottom of the temple.

Smile Agree with doylle

I agree with doylle, this'll look sick with some creeping vines or other vegetation. Can't wait to see it textured! :-)

Alright, this is what I got so far.
Not done with details and coloring.
Will see how much I'll do with it.
