Competition #11 - Xoliul
Luckily we don't have to stick to the CnC theme, so I'm doing this naval defense tower with lots of cannons of varying sizes. Idea is largely based on a painting by Hipper.
Here's what I have so far: ![]() 939 tri's, so plenty left I wanted to make an entire fortress in this style, but I was never going to be able to fit that into the polycount. I also plan on doing a sculpt for the rock base it is built upon. First time I do something like that, so if anybody has some tips, since my quick first attempt doesn't look like much. I'll start with gathering some ref though ![]() |

looks good. You have some tris left. So, the rocks at the bottom could be made more such that the whole structure is standing on them. Think of the structure as a mini-island, with water around. Howzatt!

I think that the point some of you are missing is that in RTS games, buildings can be weapons. For example, a guard tower, while still a building, is a weapon. This building has what appears to be guns, therefore making it a weapon. He even says it's a naval defense tower.
c/c: I would suggest getting rid of the guns or adding something to them (like nets or banners) to make them look like posts rather than guns. Turn it into a fishery or something. |
