ok i am to the point where i am UVing my model, but i hit a small wall. Ive worked in odd sizes before ie 512x256, but its really bothering me this time. i took a screen to illustrate the problem. I want my sheet to be 512x1024, but when i change the uv size (in Red) it makes my map stretched, which is understandable, but the problem is that my checkers in the viewport arnt stretched. It thinks that, that is the normal resolution. SO when i go to resize my UVS to the right proportions it messes up the viewport display, so i have no idea if im sizing the uv's correctly. IM using the UV plugin seen in the picture (forgot what its called, but its pretty popular perhaps you guys use it)
i basically want to here your guys workflow, for dealing with odd map sizes.
