*update*

Well then.. next is the unwrapping.. and I ask myself.. how the hell am I going to fit all those details into a 1024x512 and still keep it detailed?

Well... I guess it'll have to be a lot of shared UV's here.

Render from far away :P That always helps.

When overlapping, you can save tons of space. Imagine doing all the vertical wood as 1, all horisontal wood as one. Then you can do the fence, supports and such without using too much space. Also, the woodsupport and such are such small parts, so they do not really need that much space compared to the roof and building walls (which is what most people will spend their time looking at).

Well then, guess it's about time I showed some progress. Stll only half-way andit's just a diffuse. But I think I'll make it in time, even though I might not have had as much time working on the texture as I wated to. Approximately, I've onley been able to work on this thing for about 5 hours. I'll need atleast 15

Well.. what can I say. Havn't textured the walls or those important parts yet, but don't worry, they got enough space not to look lowres. Sharpenig your textures really gives it a little extra detail and the kind of feeling that it isn't lowres. slightly pixelated is to prefer instead of blurry ones.

Thanks Bitmap

Were hoping for some crits so it may be improved though. Anyway, here it is. Currently a diffuse, specular, normal and self-illumination map.

Very nice texturing.
Bit late now but did you think about modelling the doorway arch to give a bit more pop?
What about a glow map on that window to make it look like its being lived in?

really nice texturing mate, I love the stone work and the windows

A few things I think might improve it a little...

The ridge of the roof. You wouldnt see the flat tiles go all the way up to the very top. There is usualy a sort of spine like this at the top, or a more curved tile like this

The roof could use some subtle variations in hue and saturation between the tiles

Where the chimney intersects with the extended roof doesnt look very natural. I would have the planks cut away to accomodate it. Or have some more dirt or moss that would collect at that intersection and run down the roof

Also I think the top of the chimney would be a lot more black and sooty than that
