doesn´t leave me with a hole.

make sure you hit the backspace key and do not use delete!!!

hmm about the uvs...well that might be...not sure if there´s a solution to it

Indeed I was using the delete, but pressing the backspace does nothing, the mesh remains equal.

Just to set it straigth.

I go to on the modifier list and select edictable mesh.

Then on selection choose edge.

Select some edges like the ones you showed me, just those in a line not all.

And finally press backspace.

I get nothing...

hmm ok that might not work on editable mesh (which you shouldn´t use anyways)
convert your model to editable poly and try it again.
as i said: works for me

editable mesh is somehow outdated and i believe they just keep it for compatibility reasons and probabaly for some performance reasons. but when it comes to modelling you should use editable poly coz it has way more and better modelling tools.
and those are the things why i don´t use max for modelling anymore... it just feels like an old dinosaur compared to other apps.

Ill be improving my model and post along.

Im probably going to remake it and if even dont get it on time for the contest, im really more interest in learning.
