Competition #10 - StefanH

heya folks,

Here's my start on the competition Ultimate Pickup.

It's a messy medibag, most likely nato or olive green fabric. There is a patch with the red cross. It has been opened and stuff is floating out a bit. Stuff like bandages, pills, gloves, scissor, and so on..
As I mentioned earlier in another thread i will try to keep it realistic this time.
I modeled a base mesh and took it into mudbox, still WIP. Metal closing and many other objects will then be modeled in 3dsmax.

No try to decipher my great concept haha

I really like the idea of the open bag, it gives you alot of possibilities. great mudbox work as usual

i was gonna say to add a bit of 'wavyness' to the 2 seperators to add a bit of fabric flexibility realism. *if you handnt already had that on your list*.

later,
-stellar

I was already wondering where your wip thread was. Like the idea, no doubt that you'll bring this to a good end.

PC crashes are a real pain in the but, i have a BSOD to frequently lately, realy need to get that fixed asap. But like you said, second time is always better.

cheers

Nice! I can't wait to see what kind of stuff is flying out of that bag. One of the ideas I had was actually a dissection kit as a health pickup. Just thinking that you'd need to use all of those crazy tools on yourself to gain life is kind of an odd think to ponder.

yes, not bad, the first "real looking" health pickup
if you get a real good texture it will be a nice submission. so keep working

thx warape.. here's some progress.

I've also aready made the lowpoly bag (without attachments), it's 370 tris, so there's plenty left for the items and attachments. I'm still in the process of figuring out where i need geo.
