Competition #10 - domochan

Latest update
I've worked on this a bit more now, it's not finished since i've been on vacation for the last 2 weeks but I guess I'll submit what I have, it certainly not a winner, but I've learned allot so far so thats all im looking for. I didnt have time to add a background or a special effect... or a rack to hold the missiles together :/

btw - first comp

Previous idea has been scrapped *poof*

I have a new idea ( finally ), question is, does it have to be a human pickup, can it be a vehicular pickup?

Hi Stellar,

My only concern is that it's very big for something to "pick-up" on the run. You could try resizing it a little more and pack in the ammo tighter, that way it doesn't all too empty either.

Cheers

I like the idea that it contains some of all the ammo in the game. I would definitly try to work on this concept. But like requiem said, make it somewhat smaller. There's no real need to display everything nicly, it's not a shop .

good luck!

It doesn't have to be human pick-up... vehicular pick-ups are also good. All that it needs is to look like a pick-up so if you just make a tire and place it on the ground it won't work that good. Tell us what you have in mind?

check first post for image. its a cluster of rockets over a pickup point for an aircraft. I may need to modify the base, and without some more work, it actually resembles a SAM unit.

thats pretty cool dude, i think if you bring the base legs in some it would be a perfect size for a pick up ingame. Cant wait to see some textures on this bad boy.

ok, cleaned up some tris, and updated the base mound. I wanted it to look more like something could drive over it if it needed to, so its more bridge-like. room for a little more optimization, and tri count right now is 1288.

Current WIP

thanks,
