Competition #10 - Lars

So here's my first concept for the competition
I know it's not very logical but it has a symbolic meaning
At the moment I'm still making tons of concepts of different ideas but this idea is clear enough to present it to you.

So here it is.
This is only a first sketch so sorry for the poor drawing

Greetings,
Lars

I think I'm going to make a little crack into the glass and when the heart is pumping there comes a little fountain of blood out of it.. so that it's not only a thing laying around

Interesting concept, what does it do? Is it a heart that beats for you when your own is dead?

I'll be interested to see how this one's pulled off

It's more like a symbol.. the heart stands for the health energy you gain when you pick it up... you steal the energy from another living thing.. some kind of spiritual but it doens't need to be logic... I wanna know what happens when somebody picks up a big red cross swinging around in the air .. on the side which is inside the device there are some stings you push into your body and the device does the rest

Looking cool, mate! Ghost in the Shell versus Doom3.

I love the design of it, but to make it really, really eye catching, you could have the heart being lit from the inside. I think that'd look pretty spectacular, tbh.

I'd advise about any unnecessary gore though, as it is quite gross already, in a good way. I wouldn't put any fountains of blood on it :P Have the whole thing sealed.

No fountains of blood!

Keep on!

Thanks for your feedback, I think an animation wouldn't even be necessary so I can leave that idea behind

I changed the idea of using this device into a more logical way.
The device can be attached as a plugin to the human body.. there is a plugin device in the body of the player where this thingy fits in perfectly. It analyzes what the body needs and clones the damaged organ in highspeed and replaces the function of the original one Sounds very scifi but I think thats a good Idea.
@glynnsmith: I think I'll add a glow from the inside when I begin to model it, that idea is great, thanks.

Just another short sketch to show what I mean:

I think I could add another min-pickup wich works as a battery for this thing.. a little biotank or whatever. This thing could be delivered on a small plattform which looks like it's recharching the device... maybe

Oh, and thanks for the nice feedback, I hope you still like it when it's in 3d

I made a quick sketch for the platorm, just to get the shape for it.

The device itself will be smaller to fit into the device (and into the human body )

Maybe a more round or egg-like shape.

nice entry. From a visual standpoint i don't like the spikes, i liked your first version better there. And i don't really understand your latest drawings all that well ^^

I think I'm gonna mix these two shapes into one and present it to you, but tomorrow.
Sorry for that unclean sketch, I'll clear it up a bit tomorrow
