Damnit! I joined the messageboard today around 3pm and was at work, bored to hell, and I was determined to make an entry before the end of today, but I got home and went to get sushi with the roommate, and its 9:30 right now and my friend called saying to get my ass down to the bar because 3 hot chicks are there waiting for us! so I won't be able to finish my entry on time but here is a preview shot anyways, I'll try to complete it tomorrow morning. I realize it wont be in the competition but I'm just doing it for practice. It stands at 497 tris, I should have learned how to do normal maps instead of making each button, DOH!

Here it is so far.. I dropped the idea to use normal maps because I am not very experienced with it and time is running out, so it is all just a 512 diffuse.
how do I go about making the white plastic all shiny, and the metal on the back shiny like chrome (like on a real ipod), can I do that with a specular? or a glow? can anyone point me to any tutorials? thx!
here is a quick render with a simple omni light

gosh i hope apple doesn't sue me ;P
